Yatagan Thermal Power Plant Prefers Ecostar
Ecostar, the leading brand in industrial and process burner applications, was chosen for the natural gas conversion project of Yatagan Thermal Power Plant, Turkey's 5th largest thermal power plant located on an area of 1,163 m2, 3 km from Yatagan, a district 26 km north of Mugla.
To utilize low-calorie coal in the Mugla-Yatagan lignite basin and meet the needs of the national energy system, the power plant has a total installed capacity of 630 MWe will replace 18 start-up burners, each with 28 MW of thermal power, from heavy oil by dual burners with natural gas and light fuel.
With this transformation project, thanks to the products used with an eco-friendly approach, the storage, operation, and maintenance costs of the power plant will be reduced, as well as the emission values.
